Public Service Announcement: As with most curses that affect the entire city, it is highly recommended that individuals remain inside. If you need aid, you can either dial 911, leave a message on the Network, or make your way to the Police Force building. We will respond as quickly as possible, but common sense is the best way to stay safe. If you must travel, travel in groups and take a communicator of some sort with you.

Nicholas, Faye, Luke and Leia, Anita, and now Tosh and Tony? Jesus. I guess it bears reminding that none of us are going to be here forever. When death isn't permanent, it's hard not to think about people leaving the City in the same kind of terms as we would death back home. "Going to a better place". But the hope that you might see them again some time in the future almost makes it worse.

It makes it necessary that we don't get too stuck in the routine, don't forget the value of what we have here. It's almost enough to make even me cut back on the workaholic routine. Any of us could be gone tomorrow.

I won't be able to make it in to work today unless this fog clears up - two steps out the door and I have no idea where I am. Anybody with extra senses who can actually get around in this stuff should take extra patrol shifts to help out. It's situations like this that certain people like to take advantage of, not to mention the fog might not be the entire curse, just the part we know about.

Debra Morgan is joining us, so I expect everybody to welcome her and show her how we do things.

Hawkeye, anybody in the pipeline I should look into? Special Agent Fox Mulder has shown an interest in joining the police and I've put him into the process. He's a fictional television character in my world and I can vouch that he'd be an asset. Experience in the supernatural along with FBI training would be invaluable.

We've also lost another Head of Tech Intel. I'll start scouting again.

It seems like every time I take a nice weekend off, something bad happens. This is only the second or third time, of course, but it's still enough to make me suspicious. Things always seem to be even less of a coincidence in this city than anywhere else.

This is just a reminder for everybody to keep police business within as narrow filters as possible.

The Warden would like us to monitor Walter Dornez's activities while he is on house arrest, so he is to check in twice a week with front-door security, us, and then the Warden. So please don't try to shoot him or something if he's in the building. I want his Network activity monitored if at all possible. If this all blows up in our faces it's going to be us cleaning up the aftermath, not the Warden, so no matter how idiotic his decision might be we've got to do our best by it.

Instead of turning into animals, it seems we have them as familiars now. "Daemons", says Linnaeus. He's a Golden Eagle and he's quite large, so it's a bit difficult to manoeuvre inside without knocking things over. I've found a leather welding glove to carry him around on, since he refuses to be separated. He's a bit arrogant, but very beautiful.

Whether or not you're cursed, I want to see everyone in the new Police Station today. Not just because it's new, but because we've got a possible new serial killer on the loose. Yes, there has been only one mutilation so far, but no one goes through that much trouble to harm someone unless they have some serious mental issues.

The abducted woman made a post here at 0320 hours and was rescued by friends. Apparently this has happened before, last October. This was before my time, so anyone who has experience from the previous case, please make yourselves known. The mutilation was executed in the form of a "trap", which may have been intended only to mutilate, but it's likely with the severity of the wounds that death was the intended conclusion.

Make discreet inquiries of anyone you know who was around for the first attacks. Someone will need to go question the woman and the person who found her - there was a reason why she was chosen to be the debut. Are all our usual psychopaths accounted for? Can anyone in Tech Intel get a lock on that anonymous post? We don't know what the pattern is yet, so I don't want anyone making a target of themselves. Find out what you can, but stay safe.

Oh, and we've got a new officer: Agent DiNozzo. If you see him wandering around, point him in the direction of Field Intel, please.

Well, it's been a pretty quiet week. I don't see what all the fuss was about the flavour curse, trying a new taste every once in a while never hurt anyone.

It's hard to believe that I've been here for over four months now. I miss the reliability of home, where things tend to stay the same from day to day, but I've still learnt a lot since I came here, met a lot of new people I wouldn't have otherwise. It feels like a test, and I hate to say a kind word in favour of the deities, but it's nice to push my limits and stretch out. Who knew?

We've got a new member coming into our team and he's a little on edge so please don't provoke him. If he starts criticizing you or ordering you around just ignore it or come to me. He'll mostly be working with his own people, so this shouldn't change anyone's routine or duties.

Speaking of, anyone got anything I should know about? I get worried when all the evil masterminds aren't making loud proclamations of death, doom, and destruction.
